My client is a global hedge that is looking to hire an Analyst level Technologist/Data Analyst for their Data & Analytics function in New York.
This Data Technologist will be responsible for building technology data analytics solutions and will be involved in multiple projects, including working directly with Quant and Front Office and Portfolio Management business groups.
Responsibilities:
• Work directly with business groups to identify process inefficiencies and automation opportunities
• Produce detailed analysis of business process workflows, helping with data cleanup
• Collaborate with our internal software development team to develop solutions
• Projects will include facilitating co-ordination and development of data analytics / reporting solutions supporting the following:
• Front Office PMs, Traders and Analysts
• Risk Analytics
• Valuations
Candidate Profile
• Demonstrable track record of outstanding academic achievement
• Undergraduate degree with focus on Computer Science
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in the financial industry; asset management preferred (hedge fund, private equity)
• Ability to perform business analysis, as well as manage and maintain various user relationships
• Product knowledge with one or more asset classes Loans, bonds, credit derivatives, FX forwards
• Technical expertise using MS SQL, MS Excel, Python, or other relevant data manipulation tools
• Outstanding Microsoft PowerBI skills
• Experience with Snowflake
